Hold off using Media Pro 1

Phase One Media Pro 1 has some annoying bugs. Hold off using it or judging it just yet. An update is expected *very* soon. As a small company Phase One can bring updates quickly to market. The flip side is future release cycles *should* also be more frequent including more features.

Getty Images has acquired competitor Photolibrary.com, based in Australia. Founded in 1967 Photolibrary are one of the top five image and video libraries in the world. This is an attempt for Getty increase market share and expand into Asia and the Middle East.

Getty Images acquires PicScout

Getty Images has acquired PicScout, a company that developed  ImageTracker technology that scours the internet in search of unauthorised use of copyrighted images. In 2008 Getty Images itself was sold to a private equity firm Hellman & Friedman.
