CASE STUDY: ADOBE
Adobe invited photographers from North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region to Tasmania to field test Adobe Photoshop Lightroom ahead of its public release. I was selected as one of the Australian photographer to participate in the two-week assignment.
Working from dawn until well after dark, we photographed some of Tasmania’s most spectacular and remote locations while testing the software under demanding real-world conditions. Each evening the day’s photographs were processed in Lightroom before being published to blogs and social media, building anticipation for the upcoming release.
Adobe’s Vice President and engineering team worked alongside the photographers throughout the project, gathering feedback that helped refine the software before launch. Following the assignment, Adobe commissioned me to write the official Adobe Lightroom white paper, drawing on both my commercial photography experience and expertise in digital workflow.
Following the project, Adobe Vice President Winston Hendrickson said:
“Robert Edwards’ blend of digital asset management technology knowledge with the experience of a pro photographer has provided me with valuable insights into customer needs around managing assets.”
